Got charged $30 for cancelling a click…

Got charged $30 for cancelling a click and collect! I got sick and could not collect and Coles didn't have the ability to deliver it to me instead. So, they only refunded a portion and kept $30. I didn't get any shopping and was charged $30 for the experience. I now have a very low opinion of Coles (Westfarmers) and because they took my money for no good reason I'll avoid all of their businesses.

Online ordered - never received but debited money from my account, no email about the status of the delivery

I placed an order via Colesonline on Monday 17/5/21 for it to be delivered between 6am-8am on Wednesday 19/5/21. I never received the delivery. When I spoke with a customer service personnel from Colesonline at 1:15pm, she told me she can see I have modified the order at 1:10pm which had occurred 5 minutes ago. I explained that I might have accidentally clicked the modified button from the confirmation order email when I was looking for order tacking information. I explained to her that my delivery should have occurred earlier at morning irrespective of what happened 5 minutes ago. She could not explain what had happened to my delivery and said there was nothing that she could do. I then asked to speak to her manager or complaint unit, and being told I have to wait 48 hours before someone can call me back! They could not even email me with a confirmation to say that the order is now cancelled and the payment will be refunded back to my bank account upon my request!
It is evident that the payment of $142 has been debited from my credit card but they insisted that this payment is on hold and will be reversed within 10 working days, they have no control over the bank processing time. She even asked me to read Colesonline’s refund policy. I told her the payment has gone through regardless whether it is still pending, I’d like to have a resolution, either they can make a delivery to me for the same order at the earliest possible delivery time slot or refund the full amount. He said I need to checkout the current cart in order to received the order, does that mean they are going to debit another $142 from my account? I asked him to cancel my order but he cannot give me the confirmation in writing!

Coles are using Sub

Coles are using Sub - Contracted Security Companies who have a Record for being Liquidated by ASIC are falsely advertising for Security Guards to be employed at Coles. I was interviewed by Immediate Response Security in Meadowbrook in the hope of landing the 30 hr week role as quoted by the Operations Manager over the phone. During the Interview I was asked to do urgent work un-related to what I was there for, I had refused, In post interview I was told to forward my Credentials, The next day I was Rejected with out any reasons given. All my Credentials are up to date & Registered. No reply from my Email about status. I then learned that M-A Security hold these contracts with Coles & they also hold a bad Reputation for underpaying Guards.

Terrible service

15/04/2021 me&my kid went shopping in Middle Camberwell Coles store 7801. The worker on register 005 Vlasta were sick ( coughing, sneezing, running nose) and she was serving her friend in front of us. It took very long time because Vlasta was talking about their life too long, The queue was waiting very patiently. Vlasta was touching her running nose and after that was picking up my food ( I was buying it). When I asked another shop assistant to call manager and told that I'm going to complaint, Vlasta's friend heard about it, she caught my kid on carpark and started screaming that I had no right to complain about her friend. After that, I returned to the shop and talked to manager. He wasn't interested at all, no apology, opposite they both didn't want to tell me her name, she was hiding it in her pocket. I contacted The Police and Coles customer service but no one respond.

Online Order - Cancelled & still waiting for a refund!

Ordered online to pick up at Caversham, WA store. PIckup window was 8-10am and from past experience with other stores the order is ready well before the start of the pickup window. I got a message at 8.21am saying my would not be ready until 9.30am. When I had not received any notification and no charge to my Paypal account by 9.55am I called customer care. The order was marked in my online account as ready for collection but when they called the store they were advised the store would have it ready within 30mins. I told them it would have to be cancelled as I had a family event to be at and would not be able to collect that late - plus I actually needed some items for that event! They told me to hang up and they would put the cancellation through. Later that morning I checked my emails to find the store had sent an email at 10.10am to advise something was out of stock and had been replaced - and my order was ready to collect. No SMS like I normally receive when an order is ready. They had also charged my Paypal.
I have been in contact with Customer Care twice since then about the refund as the order in my online account has been marked as collected - which I did not. I got the standard auto-scripted reply that the funds take 3-5 business days to go back into my bank account (I paid by Paypal) and it is dependant on my financial institution!
The order was on 27/03/2021 and I am still waiting for my refund. I've even lodged a report with Paypal and after a week still no response. This is disgusting customer service!

I was surprised today to learn that the in store bakery at Coles Southport Park, Gold Coast was unable to slice bread at 1.30pm. They were closed for the day and ‘usually only open in the morning’!! The customer service in store was also very surprised when I reported to them my dissatisfaction.

Coles Mobile is a ripoff

Bought the Coles mobile today expecting it to work. Paid cash for it but unable to activate because it does it wants another payment. Complete rip-off.
You have not just lost a mobile user you have lost a shopper. I will be returning this tomorrow for a refund and if you give me a hard time I'll report you to the telecommunications ombudsman. Time wasters!!!!!!!!!!

Policy against cutting up chooks!!

I asked the deli lady to cut up my two roast chickens and she refused. When I pushed her- she said she would cut them into quarters but that I would have to pay for 8 quarters!
I rang head office to complain and was told there was a policy around cutting the chooks up! Who would have thought? I went into Woollies today and my chooks were cut up without question- no stupid chook policy.
Not shopping at Coles anymore.

VPN access blocked

When trying to access Coles online website with VPN, I get the message "Coles Online is not available in your country or access has been blocked." So I have stopped using the website and instead go to Woolworths to search for products. I have also stopped going to Coles supermarkets as I have no way of getting the prices online without switching off VPN which would compromise my privacy.

Avoid Coles

I ordered home delivery four days beforehand because I was going into quarantine. They deliberately left out my meat and are refusing to deliver it. They packed the order and closed it off before telling me they wouldnt deliver the main part of the order. I was then unable to cancel the order and shop elsewhere. Then the driver arrived and had to leave because she didnt even know how to open the truck door.

Appalling service..
Filthy dirty store.
Very poor management..
I'm sick of Coles in Tweed Mall. The staff are lazy, especially the senior female staff. Its the worst Coles I've ever shopped at and won't be going back
